The AR2 brings new features and updates from previous AR models.

The Antik AR2 Boot is the latest boot innovation to hit the parks and tracks and has been updated with a heap of new features to make your skating dreams come true.

New - Composite Outsole The new AR2 now features a more durable composite outsole that is significantly lighter than the leather outsole of previous AR models.

New - Tongue Padding Antik have switched to a thinner, denser tongue padding material for the AR2 resulting in a tongue that feels more form fitting and less bulky.

New - Liner The boot liner has been updated and is more durable and offers better stability.

New - Graphic The most popular feature of the new Antik AR2 Boot is the updated graphic. It is both modern and edgy, and lends well to customisation!

Features:

  • “Dual Sport” product for Park and Derby
  • Full grain leather (black with white graphic)
  • Available in non-leather vegan (Only available in Black or White)
  • Available in custom colours
  • New composite outsole
  • New upgraded microfiber liner
  • New improved tongue padding
  • New toe bumper

Fit – How does the AR2 compare to previous AR models?

The Antik AR2 will fit very similar to the AR1 Blue & Red and AR1 Phantom series as these boots are all made on the same last. Changes to the tongue padding may make the boot feel different and the new Composite outsole could make the arch feel more pronounced with some skaters. However, the old AR1 with the hard toe box is made on a different last with a different shape so the new AR2 will feel and fit very different.

Radar HALO Wheels

Created specifically for modern derby, as it is played now, the Halo is a game changer.

The all new Radar Halo is a brand new, 59mm high-end wheel designed for derby. The Halo is a culmination of nearly 2 years worth of research and design, to create the most advanced core on the market, the startlingly light Halo provides great access to edge work without loss of grip and control.

Other wheels may look like the Halo wheel, but the Halo is a brand new design of wheel and Radar Wheels are once again leading the way again and are adapting to suit the needs of modern roller derby.

The Halo features an innovative, signature H-shaped hub that is radically different to anything offered by any other brand on the market. More than simply a larger core, the Halo hub is designed for optimal performance with excellent feel.

On previous wheels, the hub or core of the wheel has been smaller with a thicker layer of urethane. The urethane tends to build up around the edges and whilst this is great for grip and smooth rides across all hardnesses it's not so good for hockey and plow stops or for edge work. At the other end of the scale you have wheels with a bigger hub that have less urethane, which is perfect for stopping and edge work - but then you sacrifice on grip!

Radar Wheels have designed the inner and outer rings of the Halo hub to be oversized, which reduces the amount of urethane on the edges of the wheel. This is the EXACT OPPOSITE to older speed skating wheels and makes it easier to perform stops while offering excellent response. The middle of the hub is smaller, or 'dropped' and has room for more urethane, which offers grip, increases control and improves ride, giving skaters the best of both worlds!

Available as a 59mm wheel and in ten hardnesses;

  • 84a - Charcoal / Purple
  • 86a - Charcoal / Orange
  • 88a - Charcoal / Teal
  • 91a - Charcoal / Yellow
  • 93a - Charcoal / Pink
  • 95a - Charcoal / Blue
  • 97a - Charcoal / Green
  • 99a - Charcoal / White
  • 101a - Charcoal / Black
  • 103a - Charcoal / Grey

Gumball toe stops have been the number one toe stop for roller derby skaters for a number of years. 2015 has brought some exciting new changes to a modern classic and the result is the all new Superball!

Previewed at RollerCon, the Superball has a MASSIVE surface area as recent market research has shown that this is what skaters of today were looking for - a wider base to offer more stability, the option to stop immediately and a way to 'glide' when skating backwards.

The Superball toe stop features the same ground breaking technology as we saw with the Reckless Morph wheels by utilising two different rubber hardnesses! The main surface of the Superball has been crafted with a harder rubber compound to allow for more gliding and the softer 'inner pads' are designed to bring you to an immediate stop.

If as a skater the weight of your skates is an issue, Antik have offset the weight of the extra material used in the surface of the Superball toe stop by incorporating a hollow stem without sacrificing on strength and as with all Gumball toe stops, they are available in a short (17mm) length and a longer (30mm) length and like with the GUmball V2 toe stops now feature different coloured stems on every one!

Once ordered we will be in touch straight away to get your colour choices. Lead time for production uis usually around 4-6 weeks.
